Museum of Nature

We went to the Canadian Museum of Nature. It has exhibits of Dinosaurs, Mammals and Birds.

These bones and video showed how skeletons are often found, mostly flattened and often smashed, before the experts reconstruct them.

Fossils of skin imprints and dinosaur poo.

These were tiny early horses, smaller than house cats.

This skunk was in it's "warning" posture, ready to spray. We've smelt faint skunk spray in Niagara and Muskoka, it smells a bit like bad-smelling cut grass.

Some birds doing a Madness pose.

Having a pancake afterwards at Pure Crepe on Elgin Street.

Old Oldsmobile

Parked just round the corner from us. No info on it, other than it says Oldsmobile on the front, but we liked how it looked.

Brunch, and Indoor Playground

We had brunch at Dunn's Montreal Diner on Elgin Street. Elgin is known for it's diners, restaurants and pubs all along it.

The food was really nice. Charlie had poutine and a smoked meat sandwich.

Mine was a waffle with fruit and creme anglaise.

Lucy and Angela has omlettes and bagels.

Leni asked us to stop at Starbucks.

We went to Cosmic Adventure, a massive indoor climbing frame-style playground for kids.

Tunnels and slides and ballpools, Leni was very happy.

This room was the Cone of Silence, a grown-ups only room with a TV and sofas.
