Lake Louise

We took a coach to see Lake Louise, first the Ski Resort, then the lake itself.

The resort was really packed, much busier than when we went skiing, it must be properly in the ski season by now.

A cool car in the car park.

There was a separate bus to the lake, which has a Fairmont Hotel on one side.

An ice castle on the lake.

We went for a walk over the ice.

There were people ice climbing up a frozen waterfall, crazy. The waterfall looked amazing, a vibrant pastel blue colour.

This ice pub was outside the hotel. It has power sockets and things so I think it gets used as a real pub sometimes, very cool.

Tunnel Mountain Walk

Christoff and I went on a walk up to the summit of Tunnel Mountain. The views from the top were very cool.

Snowy Cave and Basin

Lucy and Chris went back to the Cave and Basin site. The trees have frost in them and it's turned into Narnia.

Tasty nom nom nom...

Hefty Christmas Tree

This tree had too much Christmas dinner.

Ice Skating on the river

The frozen river by us has sections of snow cleared for skating and ice hockey.

Lucy doing a lap.

The ice is dark, and has massive cracks across it.

This hole was not too far from where we were skating, eek!

Lots of people's dogs were having a great time running in the snow.

Walking on the river.

There's a track cleared for skating on the river.

This dog had a Santa hat and beard. Below, skating outside at Banff Springs.

Warming up round the fire pit.

Bah Humbug.

Santa's Send Off inside the hotel.

Walking in the woods

Christoff and I walked from town to the hot springs.

This coke had frozen chunks in it.

Chris doing some capoeira in the snow.

Frozen beard. We thawed out with a dip in the hot springs afterwards.

Back in town, the buses here are zombie-proof.
